Node is young and has a bright future ahead. It has informed new development practices for individuals and for large companies and its influence will only continue to grow. Node's unique approach to modularity, its vibrant ecosystem and the innovative new ways that we now collaborate around code all point to a fascinating future where these themes evolve and mature. It may be unsettling to watch io.js, the stagnation of the Node.js project and the talk of a new Node.js Foundation, but underneath all of the turmoil there exists a deep commitment to Node by key individuals and companies who are building whole businesses around the technology.
