An immediately-invoked function expression (or IIFE, pronounced "iffy") is an anonymous function contained within a pair of parenthesis and runs immediately. It can be written in different ways: [Here in this example, I am using the first syntax.] The outermost pair of parenthesis turns everything inside of it to an expression.
